Many parents will already be aware that there are major curriculum changes currently underway, as required by central government.

These include:

• The new National Curriculum requirements for Key Stage 3 phased in from September 2008 – essentially there is more freedom and flexibility to tailor programmes of study to student needs
• New GCSE syllabuses being phased in over a period of 2 to 3 years
• Changes to AS and A level specifications
